Technical Assistance to Khedivial Cairo, Egypt

The Institute submitted its Assessment Report on the Revitalization Strategies for Areas in Khedivial Cairo to the Al Ismaelia for Real Estate Company in February. The strategy outlines mechanisms to conserve the historic urban fabric and lay out the roles and ways in which private developers, in cooperation with the local government, can successfully revive the area through the restoration and reuse of buildings and improvements to the streets and public spaces. The Institute will now develop a pilot project following the recommendations put forth in the report.
