Johann Friedl – Associate

Johann Friedl is a Research Associate with the Institute.
Prior to his work at I2UD, he worked as a Research Associate in the Joseph E. Corcoran Center for Real Estate and Urban Action within Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. He conducted land use research within the neighborhoods of Mattapan, Roxbury and Dorchester with community organizations to support local action plans to combat gentrification. His interests involve community engagement in planning processes, the effects of varying governing structures on development, and urban sustainability. He specializes in GIS mapping and data analysis and visualization.
Johann is a graduate of Boston College with a Bachelors in International Studies and Political Science.
