Kendra Leith – Research Associate
B.A. (Wheaton College), M.C.P. (MIT)
Kendra Leith is an urban planner and economist. At the Institute, she works primarily on researching, writing and editing reports for the Arusha, Tanzania project and The State of the African Cities Report.
She graduated from MIT in 2009 with a master’s degree in Urban Planning. While at MIT, her research explored the challenges of implementing industrial policy in Mexico and provided recommendations for overcoming those challenges.
Prior to coming to the Institute, Kendra worked as a research associate and teaching assistant for faculty and staff members at MIT who teach courses on the design and dissemination of technologies in developing countries. She has worked on technology and urban planning projects in Haiti, Tanzania, India, and Mexico.
